The front of your emblem shows the MedicAlert symbol which features the international symbol for medicine. MedicAlert has been around in the UK for a long time....since 1964! This means that doctors and paramedics know all about MedicAlert and will check your wrists in an emergency situation. |

When a doctor finds a MedicAlert emblem on your wrist they will turn it over for more information. They then have access to details of your medical conditions so they can treat you. They also will see an emergency phone number which they can ring so they have all of your information including your parent or guardians phone number. This ensures that you get the correct treatment and that your family are aware of what has happened. |
