How can MedicAlert help to support the work of nurses?

The information recorded on a MedicAlert Emblem and in member's personal record will help you if:

  • A patient is admitted and you need to clarify their identification
  • The patient doesn't know what medication they are on
  • The patient has allergies that need clarifying
  • The patient has an advance decision and you need to find out the contents and decipher it's validity
  • You are unsure whether to admit the patient to hospital and would like to know their medical history
  • The patient wishes to donate their organs
  • You want to locate a patient's next of kin
  • You want to contact the patient's doctor

Many patients feel that MedicAlert provides important peace of mind following the diagnosis of a medical condition or allergy. MedicAlert also cater for children which provides peace of mind for parents who know that MedicAlert will be able to relay important information about their child if something happens when they're not there.
