11th October 2011 MedicAlert Foundation International Unveils its Commitment to Excellence and Provides New Consumer Guidelines

MedicAlert Foundation International issued a Code of Conduct that provides a set of service standards that for the first time will enable consumers worldwide to evaluate competing medical ID and emergency response services.

17th March 2011    Inspirational Woman of the Year launches life-saving band!

Life-saving charity MedicAlert is celebrating the launch of the new AK Autism Wristbands today (17th March) at London College of Fashion. The wristbands which are designed by people affected by autism communicate vital personal and medical details in an emergency or if a person with Autism wanders or goes missing.

13th January 2011   World's first wristband for people affected by Autism to be launched by London College of Fashion!

To celebrate World Autism Day on April 2nd, life-saving charity MedicAlert will be launching 3 stylish ID bracelets to support and protect people who are touched with autism. There are now more than 500,000 people in the UK with Autism; but latest research suggests that the true prevalence of children affected by Autism could be as high as 1 in 64.   

19th October 2010 Launch of the UK's First Autism Identification Band

MedicAlert has asked Anna Kennedy to launch an exciting competition to design a new MedicAlert band. The aim of competition is to find two fashionable designs for the UK’s first autism identification band which will be named the AK Autism Band in Anna Kennedy’s honour.

14th June 2010 Lifesaving charity MedicAlert use Lego animation to capture Kids' attention! 

MedicAlert release their first educational short film to educate children about the lifesaving MedicAlert service. This new film is available on Youtube and features Lego characters demonstrating how the MedicAlert service works in stop-motion animation which is a very new and exciting marketing direction for the charity.

1st October 2009 Saving Lives in Southwark

Front line police officers in Southwark are being given training that could, potentially, save the lives of around 1,500 people who live in the borough. They are being taught how to recognise and respond to The MedicAlert Foundation emblems, which are worn by people with hidden medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiac conditions, epilepsy and allergies.

The MedicAlert Foundation has recently been short listed for 2 key charity awards. Chief Executive, Jeanette Allen was recently short listed in the Charity Principal of the Year category at the Charity Times Awards. On the 24th September, MedicAlert’s boards of Trustees were short listed at the Third Sector Awards in the category ‘Trustee Board of the Year.’
